MuSe - Science Museums

MuSe is the new Science Museum of Trento and it was designed by Renzo Piano, an Italian architect known world wide. Here adults and children can discover the features of nature and mountain. It is a place where fun and the pleasure of discovery go hand in hand together!


Castello del Buonconsiglio

The Castello del Buonconsiglio is a museum as well as the largest monumental complex in Trentino-Alto Adige. The castle, built up near the 13th city walls, served as the residence of the Bishops of Trento from the second half of the 13th century until the secularization of the principality in 1803.


Museo dell'Aeronautica Gianni Caproni

The Aeronautical Museum "Gianni Caproni", founded by aviation pioneer from Trento Gianni Caproni, boasts the first aeronautical collection existing in the world, dating back to the 1920s. Since the beginning of his career, Gianni Caproni decided to keep some of his main aircrafts in his garages rather than dismantling them to use them as spare parts for new projects.


Le Gallerie di Piedicastello

The “Gallerie di Piedicastello” are of special interest. In 2007 the two tunnels that crossed the district of Piedicastello were closed to traffic. Hence, the idea arose to use them as exhibition areas. Today the black and white tunnels have become a popular venue, mainly hosting historical exhibitions.


National Historic Museum of Alpini

The Historic Museum of Alpini is dedicated to all who served the homeland as Alpini. It is located near the Mauseleum dedicated to Cesare Battisti on the hill Doss Trent, in a special position on the city of Trento. The museum collects historic evidence belonging to the national corps of Alpini, connected to war periods but even to philanthropic activities.


Mart - Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea

The Mart of Trento and Rovereto is one of Italy's most interesting museums. The main building of the Museum was designed in 1987-88, by Swiss architect Mario Botta, with the collaboration of Rovereto-based engineer Giulio Andreolli, and houses a very important art collection ranging from Futurism to Pop Art, Arte Povera and Realism.


Trentino and the First World War

The First World War front line crossed the whole length of Trentino, following to a total length of 350 km. It passed through its many and varied natural environments, from the peaceful, colourful scenery of Lake Garda to the austere peaks of the Dolomites and the perennial glaciers.


Trento and Theatre

Centro Servizi Culturali of Trento and the numerous local organizations propose a long list of events, performances, representations and concerts for all the winter period. During the Christmas days the company Semianyki will perform in Trento, with all their glee, rhythm and colors.
